Overview

Bachelor of Education is a 2 year undergraduate teaching program that enables you to pursue a career in teaching and other related fields.

This course can also be commonly known as Bachelor of Training. It covers subjects like holistic education, psychology, guidance and counseling and others.

This course is preferably suitable for those who are willing to pursue their career in teaching line. This course can be pursued through correspondence too and it is necessary for teaching at secondary and higher secondary standards.

This is also a viable option for you if you wish to go for M.Ed to get higher expertise. This 2 year program is usually divided into 4 semesters.

Programme Objectives

Professional Skill: To use their knowledge to find out the solution of complex problems in development of academic world.

Problem analysis and solution: To design solutions, after identifying, formulating and analyzing of complex problems in the area of higher education.

Modern techniques usage:
To create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources and production tools for the development of educational organization.

Education and Society:
To apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional daily education related practices.

Ethics and sustainability:
To implement and commit ethical principles, responsibilities and norms in teaching and other academic practices. To understand the impact of the professional need for sustainable development in education.

Work and Communication:
To work effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader of diverse teams to achieve a common goal. To communicate effectively on complex fashion communication service activities with a range of professionals and clients.

Project management and finance:
To manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.

Life-long learning:
To acknowledge the need to get engage in independent and life-long learning in the broad area of Education.

(a). Candidate with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and /or in the Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering of Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.

(b). The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government /State Government, whichever is applicable.

Students
The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC as per State Government Norms.

Admission Process

The Admission Cell of the University will be responsible for facilitating admissions to the desire courses followed by Entrance test/ Interview/ counseling.

The date of counseling shall be declared/published on the University's official website along with the last date of submitting the duly filled in admission application forms.
Step 1
Download the admission application form from the University's official website and submit the same with a demand draft of prescribed fee drawn in favor of IES University payable at Bhopal.
Step 2
Fill in and submit application form online along with prescribed fee.
Step 3
Buy in person on payment of prescribed fee from the admission cell of IES University Bhopal.
Step 4
Candidates who fulfills the eligibility criteria for seeking admission to a Department/Institute shall, submit the duly filled in admission application form on or before the last date prescribed for the same.
Step 5
After scrutiny, if the candidate is found to meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University, he/she shall be called to appear for the counseling.

Examination Guidelines

A candidate shall appear at the final examination if he/she satisfactorily completes, besides fulfilling all other conditions under regulation of this syllabus.

The college shall submit to the University all the internalassessment marks pertaining to theory and practicumas detailed in above to the University a week before the commencement of the theory examinationalong with CD in the format suppliedby the University.

The Registrar (Evaluation)shall arrange for scrutiny of internal marks by constituting a committee of 2-3 members.The committee shall ascertain IA marks in the light of guidelines. The Registrar (Evaluation) shall call for all the IA related records of any Affiliated College without any prior intimation or the screening committee may visit any B.Ed college at anytime during the office hours without any intimation; and during such surprise visit, the screening committee shall verify theIA records.

The individual colleges shall also submit the required descriptive statistics i.e., Frequency distribution, Mean, for
(i)Total Internal Assessment
(ii) Individual papers and
(iii) Internship in Teaching as directed by the Registrar(Evaluation).

The Principal of the college shall submit a fair copy of the moderated consolidated marks lists incorporating the directions of the Registrar(Evaluation).

In the instance of any malpractice coming to the knowledge of the Registrar (Evaluation) the matter will be seriously viewed by the University for Appropriate Action.
